What a year it has been…
Let me start off by expressing my gratitude and love to all the people who have stayed subscribed to my blog and the new visitors who have just recently discovered my page. Thank you. As much as I would like to apologize for not posting for at least six months, I would love to convey my appreciation for every single one of you. There has not been a single day without blogging crossing my mind. Even though I cannot promise a scheduled upload every week or my daily presence on here, I show the ultimate desire to not only record my life but also acknowledge my readers and befriend new people.
Since my last short post about my summer morning routine, which I found to be my attempt at getting back to blogging, my life has been a rollercoaster, which multiple loops, setbacks, and penetrations. Starting school was not the end of the world; however, what has followed almost felt like it. In the past six months, I have found out that I am no good at writing while taking the AP Language and Composition course. Though my teacher encouraged me by saying that only people who do not have a desire to complete the paper cannot finish, I am still determined about my lack of aptitude for expressing my self in written words. Maybe that is the reason as to why I am more of a visual learner with interest in photography. But, unfortunately, is not to my advantage during the college application process. The 3 months of stress, lack of time, and tears are finally over, but the anticipation is still present. As of right now, I have been accepted to four universities and deferred from one. So many decisions have yet to be made, and I cannot wait to share them with you! I would love to get into my college selection process more in depth later with a hope of it being beneficial to some of the people.
During what had seemed like the most stressful time of my life, I have rediscovered myself and my interests. It had all started with me hearing “High Hopes” by Panic! at the Disco on the radio and enjoying the sound of it. As I started to research more about the band and its history, I found myself discovering many other bands producing songs of the alternative genre. I remembered one of my friends being interested in My Chemical Romance and Green Day, but, back in the day, I have never got into them. Maybe it’s the age, maybe it’s the occurrences that take place in life – whatever it was that influenced me to have a change in music and style, I could not be more satisfied with it. My friends keep telling me that I am going through my emo stage (at 18 years old) : ) . I am gladfully welcoming all the suggestions from the emo quartet and other artists! ♥
I would also love to wish you the happiest new year (one month later : )! If you have seen my last year’s post about the new year resolutions, I hope you await the new one as well. I am planning on reviewing the goals that I have set at the beginning of 2018 to share my progress with you and myself.
I had one of the best times while writing this blog post and I really hope you enjoyed reading it! Thank you for sticking with me and deciding to stick with me ; )
Thanks for reading!
Look alive, sunshine ♥ and read blogs! (MCR references coming in, haha! Hope you like it!)
